Sunday, Jan. 18th

Well, this past week has been a rollercoaster with my blood pressure. It has been up and down. It is mainly staying down, but it is spiking every once in a while. I left work Tuesday because it was up high, so my nurse said to go home and rest for the day. It must have worked because it's been down. Last night, it was too high, but it went back down. I just want to make sure I am taking care of Isaac first, and I'm trying not to worry about it too much because I know that will just keep it up. I have been taken off of my recess duties at school that way I can rest for an hour before I start the afternoon (which is wonderful!) I have just been trying to take it easy because I still have 9 weeks left until the c-section date.

January 12th appt.

My check up this day was good except my blood pressure. It was high! I gained 5 pounds, and Isaac is growing. I am still measuring 3 weeks ahead. He wants me to keep an eye on my blood pressure to make sure it doesn't keep spiking up because he might have to change my medicine if it continues. I go back in 2 weeks for a check up and ultrasound to check the baby's growth and the fluid because I am on blood pressure medicine.

New Year's Eve Day check-up

Well, I wasn't suppose to go back to the doctor until Jan. 7th, but I had to go a week early because I have had a bladder infection and some back pain. He wanted to see me early so he could check me out. Everything was good. I did my sugar test and passed! I gained one pound and my blood pressure that day was also good. We did a quick ultrasound, and she gave us a 4d picture. It's not that great because he was moving and he had his feet up at his face. I will be going every 2 weeks now.

Baby Isaac is growing and so is Mommy!

I went back to the doctor yesterday for another check-up. Everything is going great. My blood pressure was perfect, but I gained 10 pounds! Yes! I knew I had eaten way too much over the Thanksgiving break. I have gained a total of 11 pounds so far, which he said is good because I lost so much to begin with. According to my due date, I'm 23 weeks, but I'm measuring 26 weeks! I asked if that meant he would be here early (earlier than the scheduled c-section), and he said not neccesarily. So, I go back in a month to do the glucose test. Yuck!

Name Time!

Well, we have decided on a name! I can't believe we have agreed on a name this early because we were back and forth with a name for Colton. So, we have decided to name this little precious one, Isaac Cole. We both liked Isaac, and Cole is after his big brother, Colton. We will call him Isaac, not Cole. We want this baby to be his own person, not a replacement. Many people have asked if we'd call him Cole, and that is just too close.
Keep checking in, and I'll have pictures of Isaac's room!

IT'S A BOY!!

We went back to the doctor yesterday, and it's a boy! We had a room full of family, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the ultrasound room. It took the ultrasound lady a little while to find out what the baby was because she said the baby was being stubborn, which he gets from his daddy! So she had me roll over on my left side, which I couldn't see the screen. When she found it, I looked over, and I saw the "little turtle." I asked her what it was, and she said "it's a boy," which I knew it when I saw the screen but I just had to hear it. I had been saying all along that is was a girl because I have a harder time with baby boys than I do with girls, but God knows best! My blood pressure was up a little but they said it was probably because I was so emotional. I gained one pound, and we are doing a c-section March 23, if all goes as planned. We are so excited and can't wait! Now it's time to start looking for a name and getting the baby's nursery ready!
