Family Picture Day

Heath, Isaac, and me went to have family pictures made in Lockesburg on Sunday. This picture was taken after we got back home. The woman who took our pictures was so nice and the pictures I saw are really good. I hope we don't have to hard of a decision to make on Friday when we go back to proof them. We had him naked, and he decided he'd take a poo poo on his daddy. It was really funny!! Heath was holding him and I was trying to catch it in a diaper! Then, we got him cleaned up and he decided he wasn't finsihed! After we got that taken care of, he peed everywhere! I wish I would have had my video camera. That might have won us some money on America's Funniest Home Videos!

A Day with Nana and Leah

Nana, Isaac, and Leah after we got back from Wal-Mart and eating lunch at Campbell's with Papaw and Aunt Paula

Isaac and Leah--Leah just couldn't keep her eyes off him all day

Friday morning before the kids got out of their pj's--Leah had all of her toys in the floor

Friday, Nana and Leah came over to spend the day with us. We ate lunch at Campbell's and went to Wal-Mart. Leah watched Isaac's every move. Every time he made a noise, she was looking over at him. If Isaac started crying, Leah started. She didn't hardly eat all day. Isaac had 3 bottles before she had a full one. She was more worried about him than eating. Me, Isaac and Leah wore Nana out. She was tired after our day out!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Thursday night, Britney had a ball game, and we went to watch her. It was Isaac's first time to go to one of her games. We all have ball shirts to match Britney's team, but we couldn't find a onsie small enough for Isaac to match, too. Aunt Heather had bought this ball outfit, so I dressed him in it for the game. It was so cute! The back of the bottoms had a glove and ball on it! We spiked his hair, and he was ready to go! He stayed awake the whole time we were there.

Britney playing on first base. She got someone out, and she was so excited (and so were we!!!)

Britney waiting for her turn to bat.

Britney after the game was over. They didn't win, but that was ok. She had fun!

Heath and Kasey at the fence watching sissy play ball. Kasey was trying her hardest to climb the fence (no she really wasn't trying to climb, but that's what it looked like.) I didn't get a picture of her with her hands and feet on the fence, but I got this one.

Britney at bat. Swing that bat, Britney!

Cooling Off

Isaac gets so hot all the time, Papaw had him undressed to cool off. Plus, this night he was not happy and that made him even hotter. He finally cooled down and calmed down.

Mommy's Little Jelly Bean

"Mommy's Little Jelly Bean"
Jodie Daniell gave Isaac this onsie. This picture is from Tuesday, April 21. I am behind on pictures. Everyone thought his onsie was so cute. He is my little jelly bean. He is growing so fast!

Last night, Britney had a school program in Nashville, and we went to watch her. She was a pig and she was too cute! She did a great job! I tried to get pictures of her during the program but my pictures were turning out too dark, so I videoed her for a little bit and I'll try to get it up. I hope it works! Kasey had fun playing with Isaac and taking her shoes off! She's so cute! She just loves Isaac. You should hear the noises she makes when he's around!

Grandma and Kasey
Aunt Heather and Uncle Shane with Isaac. She was talking to him and he was just looking up at her wide eyed as he could be. It was so sweet!
Kasey giving Isaac some kisses. Too cute!

Nana's 50th Surprise Birthday Party!

We had a surprise birthday "get together" for my mom on Monday. She turned 50! We just invited family. She was really surprised, and I don't think she suspected anything. It's hard to keep a secret from mom...she knows everything but we did it! Here are some pictures from that night.

Mom aka Nana after she was surprised by us all when she got home from work...of course she had her eyes closed (she always does in pictures)! Her cake was so cute! It said Oh No the big 50! Your looks have changed. Your chest has dropped. We love you the same! If you can see the woman on the cake has droopy boobs! It was so funny! She loved it and had a great time! We ate hamburgers, hot dogs, and had cake and ice cream after. Heath and my dad did all the grilling and it was really good!

Anna Kate holding Leah, Olivia holding Isaac and "Aunt" Patti. Patti is my cousin, but for some reason we always seem to say Aunt Patti. The girls just love Isaac and Leah.

These are Patti's 3 kids with Leah and Isaac. Anna Kate, Olivia, and Seth. I just about had to drag Seth to get into the picture with the girls, but he did it anyway for me. Seth will be 14 in August! I can't believe it! He gets to take driver's ed next summer! Watch Out!

Paula and Isaac. Paula is my mom's sister.

Leah putting her hands in the air. Her mommy has taught her to put her hands up and wave them around. It's so cute! She's figured out how to get around in the walker, but she doesn't get very far...just goes a little forward then goes backwards a little. She'll get the hang of it soon.

Mommy's doctor appointment

I had my 4 week check-up on Monday, and Grandma went with us. My doctor said everything was good...except my blood pressure. It was up a little. So, now I have to check it everyday and let him know what the readings are before I can start taking my birth control again. I was glad to get to see everyone again...they've become like family over the past 18 months. My nurse, Sharon, held and loved on him. I was going to get a picture of Isaac with Dr. Gunter but he had stitches under his eye..it looked like someone had slugged him, but he said he did it putting together something for his son. It looked awful! I'll try to get one soon. Here is a picture of Grandma feeding Isaac before we left for Hot Springs.

Leah giving Isaac some "sugar" for the first time. She left some of her slobber on his head, but he didn't mind! The second kiss she just had to touch him and her hand ended up right over his mouth!

Leah after church in her camo cutie onsie.

Nana trying to rock Isaac to sleep but he was wide awake.

Aunt Monica giving Isaac kisses before she left to go back home.

We didn't go to church this morning because Isaac had a belly ache early this morning and Heath took over so I could go back to sleep. I didn't get back up until 10:00. The doctor told us to use Karo syrup because he has been a little constipated. Well, we have and we've noticed since we've started that, he's had more belly aches. So, we'll probably be stopping that and see what else we can do.
He's now eating 3 oz. every 3 hours instead of every 2 hours. He's belly isn't as tight and he's not grunting as much. According to the info our nutritionist gave me, he is only suppose to be eating at the most 30 oz a day and he's been eating 36 oz. So, I hope moving him to every 3 hours instead of 2 hours, he'll do much better. I want him to get satisfied and full, but I don't want to over feed him.

In the sink...

Isaac got a bath in the sink this morning. He seemed to like it. He just laid in his Daddy's arms while he got his bath. I guess he's getting to where he doesn't mind them so much anymore.

Nana and Isaac

Nana came over yesterday afternoon to visit while Daddy and Papaw went fishing. Yes, they went fishing in the rain!! Crazy, but they caught some big catfish. These pictures are from Friday night when Nana got home from Texarkana. Isaac is trying so hard to hold his head on his own...he's been doing that since the day after he was born. It won't be long, and he'll be holding it up by himself. He's getting so big.

One Month Old Pictures

Isaac is one month old. He got this teddy bear when he was born, so I'm going take his picture with it every month so you can see how much he is growing. One month...it has flown by!
One Month Old- 10lbs 8 oz; 22 1/2 in.

What a way to end the day...

Last night, we went to Nashville to eat supper and to go watch Britney play ball at the park, but while we were eating, my mom called and told me that my sister was in Texarkana because something was wrong with her eye and she was at the eye doctor and he was sending her to the emergency room. She said the doctor didn't know what was wrong, but he wanted to do a CAT scan to see if they could figure it out. I freaked out and got upset because I didn't want anything to be wrong with my sister. We are 7 years apart and haven't always been close, but we've become so much closer over the past several years.
We were going to go there, but she said to wait and she'd call us. So, we didn't go to the game. Instead, we waited at Debbie's house to hear something. Mom said she'd call me when they found something out, but I just couldn't stand it, I kept calling her. The scan came back normal and everything is ok. She went today to see an eye specialist, and he said she probably had a reaction to her eye drops...something about those drops and people with blue eyes...that it's more common with blue eyed people. Now, I hope I got that all right...don't want to send out wrong information. We're just so happy she's ok. Our niece Britney sent up some special prayers for her!
We hope to get to go to the next game she has. The first one was canceled and we didn't go last night. Isaac has the cutest little baseball outfit that Aunt Heather got for him. He looked so cute! The next game I'll have to take pictures for you to see.

One Month Check-up

We took Isaac to the doctor yesterday for his one month checkup. His doctor said he looks great! He weighed 10 lbs. 8 oz and 22 1/2 inches long!! He's going to be a big boy! He said Isaac was in the 75th percentile, which means he's bigger than 75% of all other babies his age. I sometimes call him my little "chunky monkey!" As long as he's healthy and growing like he should be, we are happy.

He's been a little congested, so we asked about that and the doctor said it is normal for babies to be that way because their nasal passages are so small, it is common for them to keep a stuffy nose. He just told us to use saline drops to keep his nose moist and suction it out when it needed it. He had to get a shot, and he did not like it. He cried very loud...Mommy almost cried, too!

After the doctor appointment, we ate some lunch and did a little shopping. Mommy and Daddy needed some new shoes bad, so Isaac got to go on his first shopping trip. We only went to Shoe Carnival and TJ Maxx because he was getting hungry, so we just went back to the car and changed him and fed him, then we headed back home. Mommy had a hair appointment to get some of the mop cut off her head, so Daddy and Isaac stayed home and took a nap. Here are some pictures from the doctor appointment.

This was when we got home from Hot Springs. He was so tired! I had to take of picture of him so you could see his cute little Taz band-aid! I actually thought about keeping it for his baby book and then I thought that was a little strange! Yes, I threw it away..(for all of you who thinks I really secretly kept it!)

Out for our stroll...

When we went for our walk, we stopped at mom and dad's and visited for a little while. Papaw is trying to help Isaac get rid of a little belly ache. It really seemed to help him. Isaac loves to lay on his Papaw's chest and let him spoil him more and more! That's ok...that's what grandparents are for!!

Papaw's 2nd big kill

Papaw killed another turkey on Wednesday morning, and he brought it over for us to see and to take a picture. Isaac was wide awake today, so I wrapped him up, and we went outside to take Papaw's picture with his second and last turkey of the season. Way to go Papaw!

Isaac's First Stroller Ride - 4/15/09

I had decided when Heath got home, I'd take Isaac for a ride in his new stroller while Heath was grilling supper. However, Heath decided he'd walk with us and give him his first stroller ride. I'd been waiting all day, but Daddy kind of took things over. It's ok...I'm so glad Heath is such a big part in his life and wants to do things with him before I can get to it!! :) Isaac loves his Daddy!

Watch out Daddy, I'm taking over!!

After I fed Isaac this morning, I laid him in the recliner. He was all spread out in it I just had to take a picture to show Daddy that Isaac is going to take over his recliner. Isaac is the new boss in this house now! We're all about Daddy today...his onsie says, "Daddy's MVP."
(thanks "Aunt" Patti :)!!
