Baby Isaac is growing and so is Mommy!

I went back to the doctor yesterday for another check-up. Everything is going great. My blood pressure was perfect, but I gained 10 pounds! Yes! I knew I had eaten way too much over the Thanksgiving break. I have gained a total of 11 pounds so far, which he said is good because I lost so much to begin with. According to my due date, I'm 23 weeks, but I'm measuring 26 weeks! I asked if that meant he would be here early (earlier than the scheduled c-section), and he said not neccesarily. So, I go back in a month to do the glucose test. Yuck!

Name Time!

Well, we have decided on a name! I can't believe we have agreed on a name this early because we were back and forth with a name for Colton. So, we have decided to name this little precious one, Isaac Cole. We both liked Isaac, and Cole is after his big brother, Colton. We will call him Isaac, not Cole. We want this baby to be his own person, not a replacement. Many people have asked if we'd call him Cole, and that is just too close.
Keep checking in, and I'll have pictures of Isaac's room!

IT'S A BOY!!

We went back to the doctor yesterday, and it's a boy! We had a room full of family, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the ultrasound room. It took the ultrasound lady a little while to find out what the baby was because she said the baby was being stubborn, which he gets from his daddy! So she had me roll over on my left side, which I couldn't see the screen. When she found it, I looked over, and I saw the "little turtle." I asked her what it was, and she said "it's a boy," which I knew it when I saw the screen but I just had to hear it. I had been saying all along that is was a girl because I have a harder time with baby boys than I do with girls, but God knows best! My blood pressure was up a little but they said it was probably because I was so emotional. I gained one pound, and we are doing a c-section March 23, if all goes as planned. We are so excited and can't wait! Now it's time to start looking for a name and getting the baby's nursery ready!

Baby's First Kicks--October 24, 2008

I felt the baby move for the first time on Friday night at the football game. It was very exciting to feel that again. That's one of the greatest feelings in the world! I can't wait to feel the baby move even more and to get to that point to where Heath and others can feel the baby move by feeling my stomach.

10/15/08 Fourth Doctor Appointment

I went back to the doctor today, and everything is still going great! My blood pressure is great, but I lost 3 pounds, which makes a total of 13 pounds since I've started going to the doctor. He said it was ok as long as the baby is growing. He measured my belly, and I'm measuring 2 weeks early. I'm now 15 weeks and measuring 17 weeks. We'll come back November 11th to have an ultrasound to find out what we are having and a checkup. I'm sure it will be very crowded in the ultrasound room that day!

Third Doctor Appointment 9/18/08

Well, it's been a month, and here we are again. I have had a touch of the stomach virus, I think, because I haven't been eating very much, and I've gotten sick. Luckily, all of that is over! My blood pressure is good today, and I lost 7 pounds since last month. I knew I'd lose again. The doctor did an ultrasound just to check the heartbeat because he thought it might be still too early to hear it with the doppler, and he knew I would flip out if they couldn't find it. He was right and knows me too well! The baby's heartbeat was 171 this time. It was 146 last month. We didn't get a picture this time, but I could tell the baby had grown so much since last time. Everything is still going great, and we scheduled again to come back in a month.

We have a new niece!

Monica had her baby today, Leah Kayte Allen. She weighed 7lbs. 6oz. and was 20 inches long. She is so beautiful! She reminds me of Colton because of her lips and chin. She has my baby toe...bless her heart! She'll be made fun of for that! We're so happy everything is okay, and she'll probably be very spoiled!

8/21/08 Second Doctor Appt.

We went back today for an ultrasound, and there was a heartbeat!! We are so happy, and it was a little emotional for me to see that little heart beating away! That is the greatest gift of all. It is truly a miracle from above! Our doctor moved my due date to April 8, 2009, but we will be doing a c-section the last week of March. He told me and Heath to pick a date, and we'd do it. So, I am now 7 weeks and 1 day, and I lost 3 pounds since my last appointment on the 8th. It seems like it's going to go by very slowly!

8/13/08 First Day of the Real World

It is 5 days before school starts, and I get a call to come to work to be a kindergarten teacher for this year. I'm very excited about getting back to work, but I haven't worked since March. Heath is excited about my new job, and we both know it will help take my mind off of things that's happened and our long road of pregnancy again. I didn't realize how much work getting a classroom together 5 days before school starts is going to be. I can't wait to meet my kids on the 18th. I'm sure there will be a lot of crying on the first day of kindergarten...just hope one of them is not me!

First Doctor Appointment 8/8/08

Today, I went to the doctor for the first time. I had all of my blood work done and a checkup. We did an ultrasound to confirm my pregnancy. According to the ultrasound, I'm 5 weeks and 2 days and, it's too early to see a baby. There is only a sac there. My due date for now is March 30, 2009. We will come back in two weeks to check for a baby and a heartbeat. We are very excited, yet very scared. We can't wait to hear a hearbeat!

July 26, 2008...We're Pregnant!

We're pregnant! I took 3 tests before I got a good positive reading. I took one on Monday, July 21st, and it was negative. I took another one the next morning and negative again! I was starting to get upset because I was already late, and I was getting negatives! Heath told me to wait a couple of more days, but I just couldn't wait. I took another test Thursday night after I got home from going to the doctor with my sister. It was a very, very faint positive. I took it to Heath, and I said, "Do you see the positive sign or is my eyes playing tricks on me?" He said, "looks positive to me." My heart was racing, and I'm sure Heath's was too. We called my mom to come over, and she said it looked positive to her. We even called my dad, and he said it looked positive to him. We still weren't sure if it was positive or not at this point. So, you know me, I took another one, well two, on Saturday the 26th. They were both positive, one being very faint again, and the other was showing two lines. I did a test at the clinic on Monday, and it was positive. So, needless to say, I used a lot of pregnancy tests before it was all over with. We are very excited and nervous! Everyone is so happy that we were able to get pregnant again so soon. It's going to be a long road!
